About the Role

The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is seeking a qualified French Language Instructor to join our team. As a French Language Instructor, you will be responsible for providing instruction in French as a Second Language to adults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality instruction in French as a Second Language to adults
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment
Requirements
  • Relevant post-secondary education or studies in the French language or equivalent
  • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification preferred
  • French Specialist certification preferred
  • PBLA (Proficiency in Languages Assessment) training or experience
  • Experience in providing instruction in French as a Second Language to adults
  • Understanding of the Canadian Language Benchmarks and National Language Placement and Progression Guidelines
  • Familiarity with the HARTs system
