Job Title: French Language Instructor

We are seeking a qualified French Language Instructor to join our team at the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board. As a French Language Instructor, you will be responsible for providing instruction in French as a second language to adults.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide instruction in French as a second language to adults
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to engage students and promote language learning
  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators
Requirements:
  • Relevant post-secondary education or studies in the French language or equivalent/OCT preferred with French Specialist
  • PBLA trained or in-training an asset
  • Experience in providing instruction in FSL to adults
  • Understanding of application of the Canadian Language Benchmarks, National Language Placement and Progression Guidelines and PBLA process
  • Familiar with the HARTs system: assessment appointments scheduling, referrals, transfers, withdrawals and progress reports, printing attendance history, certificates and check Ministry Registers
