Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Bistro Cook to join our team at Global Excel Management Inc. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare healthy and cost-effective menus, taking into account customer preferences and dietary restrictions.
  • Manage inventory levels, place orders, and maintain accurate records to ensure efficient operations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to industry standards and guidelines for food safety, handling, and preparation.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service and quality.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and ordering to optimize profitability.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas, recipes, and presentation styles to enhance customer experience.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and communication.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in culinary arts and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, inventory management, and cost control.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Hygiene and food safety certification from a recognized authority (e.g., MAPAQ).
