About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Bistro Cook to join our team at Global Excel Management Inc. As a key member of our Facilities department, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our Bistro, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare healthy and cost-effective menus, taking into account customer preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed, and ensuring that all food is stored and handled safely.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that all food is prepared to a high standard.
  • Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are met, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Manage cash handling and point-of-sale systems, maintaining accurate records and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery, including catering and special events.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in food preparation and service.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with a strong understanding of industry regulations.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
