Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Bistro Cook to join our team at Global Excel Management Inc. As a key member of our Facilities department, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Bistro, ensuring a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare healthy and cost-effective menus, taking into account customer preferences and dietary restrictions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and manage ordering to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and supplies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to industry standards and guidelines for food safety, handling, and preparation.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food service operations.
  • Monitor and control food costs, waste, and inventory levels to optimize profitability.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and promotions to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of food service operations with other company functions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced food service environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and handling procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
