About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team in the Rehabilitation & Supportive Care portfolio. As a Physiotherapist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities. You will develop holistic treatment programs using exercises, education, and manual, mechanical, electrical, and hydrotherapy techniques to assist patients in regaining and/or maintaining optimal function.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with colleagues to determine team goals and objectives, participate in the evaluation of team effectiveness, and solve problems and share responsibilities. You will also provide supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students and supervision of physiotherapy assistants and aides.

About You
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy from an accredited university
  • Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists (Provincial licensing body)
  • Computer skills (statistics input, word processing, Outlook)
  • Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification (BCLS)
  • Previous experience in inpatient acute care considered an asset
  • Previous experience in orthopedics, burns, and/or plastics considered an asset
  • Annual Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System training and certification (WHMIS)
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours
  • Long assignment, Part-time position; 67.5 hours bi-weekly
  • Approximately a 12-month assignment
Compensation and Benefits

$42.89 Hourly
