About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team at Aitchison College of Technology & Health Sciences Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all payroll-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing: Prepare and process payroll for employees, including calculating gross and net salaries, deductions, and benefits.
  • Financial Data Management: Store, update, and retrieve financial data, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform various clerical tasks, such as maintaining filing systems, data entry, and preparing reports.
  • Human Resources Support: Provide support with personnel selection, benefits administration, and employee communications.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and balance period-end reports, reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements, and compile statistics and reports.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in payroll administration or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Windows. Knowledge of payroll processing systems, such as Viewpoint and Easypay.
  • Personal Qualities: Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, accurate, client-focused, excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, organized, reliable, and a team player.
