About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Community Health Nurse to join our team at the First Nations Health Authority. As a Community Health Nurse, you will provide comprehensive nursing services to First Nations communities across the province.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide core nursing functions and services in community/public health, primary care, and home care settings.
  • Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team to promote health, prevent disease, and protect population health.
  • Focus on curative, rehabilitation, and supportive or palliative care.
  • Travel to various communities across the province.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Current registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Current CPR course for Health Care Providers (HCP).
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's license.
  • Understanding of First Nations cultural principles and protocols.
  • Knowledge of nursing processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in public health, home care nursing, or community health (1-2 years).
