Community Health Nurse

The First Nations Health Authority is seeking a skilled Community Health Nurse to join our team. As a Community Health Nurse, you will work in an expanded scope of practice to provide primary care, public health, health promotion, and emergency care for First Nations individuals, families, and communities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary care, public health, health promotion, and emergency care services to First Nations individuals, families, and communities.
- Work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement health promotion programs to improve the health and well-being of First Nations communities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and evidence-based care.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Current registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Current CPR course for Health Care Providers (HCP).
- Must be or working towards Remote certified (RNC) with BCCNM.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's license.
- Understanding of First Nations cultural principles and protocols.
- Knowledge of nursing processes.
- Municipal Pension plan with an employer contribution of 9.31% after eligibility period.
