Job Title: Elementary School Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our team at Mountain View Christian Academy Society.

Job Summary:

The Elementary School Teacher will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to Christian education and a passion for teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of our students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs
  • Provide guidance and support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms, playgrounds, and extracurricular activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a strong home-school partnership
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate
  • Experience working with children in a educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Commitment to Christian education and values
