Salary Information

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $24.00-$25.00 for this full-time Cafe Attendant position.

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Cafe Attendant at a prestigious client location in downtown Vancouver. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our corporate pantry and break areas.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Aiding in the serving of guests in all break areas
  • Greeting and welcoming clients and responding to their requests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Stocking supplies such as refreshments and utensils in all break areas, including cupboards and refrigerators
  • Loading the dishwasher with glassware as needed
  • Replenishing beverages in a timely manner
  • Ensuring that all receiving, storage, function, and service areas are clean and presentable

You will also be proactive in the smooth operation of the department by addressing guest concerns and foreseeing any potential problems. Additionally, you will maintain open communication with management and other employees.

We are looking for a candidate who possesses excellent communication skills, is a people person, and can maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Preferred experience in a coffee shop or food and service industry, especially branded coffee outlets
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to interact with clients and staff
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Meet client site operating policies and standards, including cash handling and store safety and security
  • Engage with and understand our customers, discovering and responding to their needs through clear and pleasant communication
