As a Principal Doctor, you'll be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, maintaining a positive hospital environment, upholding medical standards, and supporting business performance.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring consistent, high-quality care and safe, exceptional service to maintain a positive hospital environment and uphold medical standards.
- Partnering with the Practice Manager to support hospital operations and drive business results.
- Leading hospital team meetings and developing annual plans, budgets, and productivity levels.
- Talent acquisition, training, development, coaching, and mentoring of employees to maximize their potential.
- Implementing effective communication strategies to foster employee engagement and resolve conflicts efficiently.
- Maximizing hospital efficiency, profitability, and productivity through data-driven decision-making.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree.
- A valid state Veterinary Board License.
- Previous experience as a DVM in a hospital setting, preferably as a practice owner or manager.
- Prior experience training associate doctors and paraprofessional staff.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven track record of driving business results.
The ideal candidate will be able to stand for extended periods, lift 50+ pounds, and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
