We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our mental health team, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate patient care to individuals with mental health issues.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Residential & Recovery Team Leader (nurse) or designate, contributing to the assessment, development, and implementation of care plans. You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the team to achieve excellent outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Contribute to the assessment, development, and implementation of care plans for individuals with mental health issues.
- Provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the team to achieve excellent outcomes.
- Work under the direction of the Residential & Recovery Team Leader (nurse) or designate.
- Engage individuals and families as full collaborators in service planning, delivery, and evaluation.
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant.
- Completion of a Pharmacology course, Head to toe Assessment, Taking and Transcribing Doctor's Orders, IV Therapy.
- Knowledge of Psychosocial Rehabilitation practice.
- Knowledge of psychiatric medication and side-effects.
- Class V BC Drivers License. Use of own vehicle is required for travel.
- Certificates in CPR and First Aid.
- Three years recent experience working in the mental health field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
