Job Summary


Providence Health Care is seeking a skilled Dietitian I to join our clinical nutrition team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating patient nutritional status, developing and implementing personalized care plans, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.



Key Responsibilities

Evaluation and Development of Patient Care Plans



  • Evaluate patient nutritional status and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care


Interdisciplinary Collaboration



  • Attend ward rounds and team conferences to exchange information related to patient care and discharge planning
  • Contribute to an interdisciplinary approach to patient care, ensuring a holistic understanding of patient needs


Counseling and Education



  • Provide personalized counseling and education to patients and their families on nutrition-related topics
  • Develop and implement educational programs to promote healthy eating habits and disease prevention


Quality Improvement and Research



  • Participate in quality improvement activities, including the development and evaluation of clinical guidelines and standards
  • Contribute to research initiatives, generating questions, assisting in proposal writing, and participating in data collection and interpretation


Requirements

Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition from a recognized university
  • Dietetic internship from an accredited program
  • Current registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia (CDBC)
