We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Biostatistician to join our team at AIP Connect, a boutique HEOR consulting firm. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing HEOR studies for tier one pharmaceutical companies, conducting statistical analyses to derive insights from complex healthcare databases, and developing and validating statistical analysis plans to assess treatment effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement HEOR studies for tier one pharmaceutical companies.
- Conduct statistical analyses to derive insights from complex healthcare databases, ensuring accuracy and relevance to client objectives.
- Develop and validate statistical analysis plans to assess treatment effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and patient outcomes.
- Write statistical code and collaborate across projects on results auditing.
- Communicate findings through comprehensive reports and presentations, translating complex statistical concepts into actionable recommendations for clients.
- Mentor and train junior staff on statistical methods and programming best practices.
- Reference EMR (electronic medical records) and claims databases and work with data vendors.
- Master's or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in biostatistics within the HEOR or pharmaceutical industry, or a relevant industry.
- Proficiency in statistical programming languages including SAS and R; experience with other programming tools (e.g., Python, Stata) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of statistical methodologies and their applications in health economics and outcomes research.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively.
- Strong communication skills, entrepreneurial spirited and an openness to out of the box creative problem solving.
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) databases and claims databases is preferred.
AIP Connect is ideally located in the GTA, but we are open to remote in Canada where you will be working in EST time zone.
