Job Title: Senior Biostatistician
Job Summary:
The Rotman Research Institute at Baycrest has an opportunity for a Senior Biostatistician to join our team. This position will be a key part of our Kunen-Lunenfeld Centre for Applied Research & Evaluation (KL-CARE), a support and services hub focused on working with healthcare professionals, researchers, trainees, and non-profit and commercial partners.
Responsibilities:
- Provide statistical consultation and mentorship to clinicians, researchers, trainees, and other clients regarding study design and analysis planning;
- Manage data, including extracting data from various data sources, preparing data for analyses, deriving additional measures to be used for analysis, and advising on data specifications at project initiation;
- Collaborate with other KL-CARE staff to develop database design for appropriate data entry and storage;
- Analyze and interpret data to develop reports, graphs, and publications;
- Develop and produce reports for stakeholders and ad-hoc reporting for executives and funders.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a recognized equivalent required;
- Statistical accreditation or a related field is desirable;
- Minimum 5+ years of practical experience in applying statistical analysis methods in a healthcare setting and providing statistical consultation and support to clients;
- Expert statistical skills, including computational analysis using SAS, R, and/or SPSS;
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
