About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Overhead Crane Technician to join our team at STRIVE Recruitment inc. in London, ON. As a Lead Hand Crane Service Tech, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining overhead cranes at various manufacturing plants throughout the London area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Determine extent of repair required
  • Respond to after-hour service calls / on-call
  • Resolve emergency breakdown situations
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace the defective part
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Perform crane inspections, repairs, and installations and respond to breakdown calls

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience as an overhead crane technician
  • Certified millwright or electrician
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent people and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Lifting up to 50lbs
  • Knowledge and understanding of structural, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Able to work in elevated areas
  • Available to work overtime and on call as required
  • Must have reliable own transportation, G License in good standing
