Certified Powerline Technician

Valard Group of Companies is a leading contractor in the powerline industry, catering to both public and private sector clients. Our expertise encompasses construction services for overhead and underground transmission and distribution systems, substations, fiber optics, and the foundations for substations and transmission lines.
We are currently in search of a qualified Red Seal Journeyman Powerline Technician to become a part of our dedicated team. We value self-motivated individuals who thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to supporting Valard's diverse projects.
Key Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Red Seal Journeyman Powerline Technician certification.
- A minimum of a DZ license is required; preference will be given to candidates with an AZ license.
- Certification in 25kV Rubber Glove work.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Completion of Working at Heights training.
- Experience in operating and maintaining various heavy machinery.
- Proven background in the maintenance and construction of distribution lines, with the ability to adhere to established procedures.
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours as necessary.
- Strong focus on safety practices.
- Experience with climbing both wooden and steel structures.
- Training or experience in craning and rigging is advantageous.
- Ability to perform additional tasks as assigned by the Foreman or senior team members.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential.
- Local candidates are preferred.
