Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Elyon African Kitchen. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are sanitized and stored properly.
Responsibilities:- Assist in preparing and serving food and beverages to our customers
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors
- Assist with food preparation, including washing and cutting vegetables and fruits
- Handle and store cleaning products and supplies
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-6 months of experience in a kitchen or food service environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines
- Physically demanding with heavy lifting and standing required
- Repetitive tasks and attention to detail required
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
