Alamos Gold is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at the Island Gold Mine. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing procurement category strategies to deliver goods and services to meet mine-site requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the dissemination and compliance of the Company's Procurement and Delegation of Authority policies.
  • Working closely with Corporate Procurement to deliver on the Category Plan and providing support to regional initiatives.
  • Building, negotiating, and executing the full RFx process, including drafting and negotiation of resulting agreements with external parties.
  • Ensuring category strategies and correspondence with external parties are aligned with business and operational requirements.
  • Delivering, tracking, and reporting on value creation that aligns to the overall Supply Chain strategy.

The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of procurement experience in a mining industry or operations-focused environment, with a degree in engineering and ASCM certification. They will possess significant commercial, negotiation, and deal-making experience, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.

This is a 4-day on/3-day off hybrid role with opportunities for professional growth and development.
