Located in northern Ontario, the Island Gold Mine is one of Canada's highest grade and lowest cost gold mines. Project Quality Coordinator – Phase 3+

Reporting to the Plants Area Project Manager, the Quality Coordinator will be involved in the procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities associated with the Shaft and Plants complexes. The successful candidate will have experience in construction, procurement, and process plant commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans for the plants area construction.

• Maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other relevant parties.

• Review drawings, scopes of work, and contract documents to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.

• Monitor construction performance regarding technical quality and compliance with design and specification requirements.

• Manage project quality turnover documents.

• Consult on project-specific quality control strategy.

• Participate in workplace inspections and construction methodology reviews.

• Work directly with contractors and suppliers to develop detailed ITPs and oversee field execution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical diploma with relevant industry experience.

• 5-10 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control.

• Mining or heavy industrial construction experience is considered an asset.

• Proficient use of Microsoft applications.

• Excellent planning, leadership, organization, and communication skills.

• Ability to communicate and interact within all levels of the organization.

This role is based in a camp operation with a 2-1 rotational schedule and includes flights from Toronto, Sudbury, and Rouyn-Noranda. Remote work and travel to vendor sites may be required.
