We are seeking an experienced Construction Equipment Operator to join our team at Earthco Soil Mixtures Inc.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will operate heavy equipment, interpret blueprints and maps, and ensure the safe operation of machinery on site. This is a key role in maintaining the high standards of our company and ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment, including hydraulic pumping systems and computer-controlled equipment
  • Interpret blueprints and maps to plan methods or sequences of operation
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and prepare accident reports as needed
  • Clean and lubricate equipment, refill tanks, and perform minor repairs
  • Measure distance, volume, length, and weight, and use GPS navigation equipment as required
  • Complete onboard and other logs, and secure special attachments to equipment
  • Understand the purpose, proper usage, and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS)

Requirements:

  • A valid Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification
  • A Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, safety vest, and gloves required
