Job Description:


We are seeking an experienced Property Accountant to join our team at Taggart Realty Management. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for the full-cycle accounting process for multiple properties, including financial reporting and analysis.


Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate with accounts receivable and payable clerks to process billing and collection transactions.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts payable supplier files.
  • Prepare monthly accounting and reporting tasks for numerous properties.
  • Manage setup of new contractors, suppliers, property profiles, and tenants in the accounting system.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end close and reporting deadlines.
  • Prepare and issue monthly financial statements to stakeholders.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements.
  • Prepare variance analyses for quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Build and maintain supporting Microsoft Excel schedules.
  • Support TRM operations requests by providing financial information.
  • Support the finance team in handling external service providers.
  • Assist in the preparation of the CAM reconciliation.
  • Perform related clerical duties.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently.

Requirements:



  • Post-secondary degree in accounting.
  • Minimum of years' experience in financial accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with intermediate MS Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, detail-oriented, and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task while meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Experience with Yardi accounting system is an asset.
