Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Security Assistant Manager to join our team in the Cambridge/Woodstock area. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable client and contribute to ensuring the safety and security of their premises.

About the Job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Emergency Response team (ERT) and overseeing all aspects of site security operations, fire prevention, and emergency response. They will also be expected to perform administrative tasks, manage personnel, and maintain accurate records.

This is a full-time position requiring a 24/7 rotational shiftwork schedule. The salary for this role is estimated at $28.99 to $29.28 per hour, making it a competitive offer in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the ERT and oversee site security operations, fire prevention, and emergency response
  • Perform administrative tasks, including managing personnel and maintaining accurate records
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures set by TMMC, Securitas Canada Ltd., and the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
  • Maintain high levels of training and competency among team members
  • Coordinate with local emergency services as needed during emergency situations
Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 diploma
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • LAW & SECURITY, POLICE FOUNDATIONS or equivalent diploma from a recognized college or progressive leadership and management experience and site training in the positions of S/TM, C/TM, and FPI
  • NFPA 1001 Fire Fighter level I & II from a recognized college or Introduction to Interior and Exterior Fire Fighting (Completed through Lambton College)
  • IMS 100
  • First Responder (Canadian Red Cross certification completed within 6 months of hire date and to be maintained)
  • Valid G class Driver's License
Requirements:
  • Willingness to work at both TMMC locations as required
  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training from a recognized provider to be completed within 3 months of commencement of post
  • Mental Health First Aid Certificate issued by a recognized provider to be completed within 3 months of commencement of post
  • IMS 200 to be completed within 12 months of commencement of post
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing environments and priorities
