Clinical Services Partner, Long-Term Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Services Partner, Long-Term Care to join our Clinical Services Team based in Colchester/Cumberland, Nova Scotia.
This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with our Clinical Services Team, Regional Teams, and Long-Term Care Communities within assigned portfolio to provide quality resident care.
The successful candidate will conduct routine clinical and infection prevention and control audits at Long-Term Care Communities within assigned portfolio to validate compliance with regulatory requirements, Accreditation standards, evidence-based practices, and Shannex's Vision, Core Values, Guiding Principles, Strategic Directions, and policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and analyzing findings and trends related to regulatory requirements, quality indicators, and clinical outcomes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborating with Long-Term Care Communities, Regional Team, and Manager, Clinical Services, LTC to create, monitor, and evaluate Quality Action Plans, where required.
- Working closely with leaders at Long-Term Care Communities to identify clinical education needs for employees and supports with developing a clinical education plan for roll out.
- Cultivating an innovative spirit, continually seeking new and improved ways to improve clinical practice, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Participating in development, evaluation and revision of clinical policies, procedures, and education.
- Leading/co-leading assigned clinical program(s) and clinical program committee(s) at organizational level.
- Researching and making recommendations in leading evidence-based clinical practices and innovations.
- Participating in interprovincial committees/working groups and shares and disseminates knowledge with the Clinical Services Team and broadly with the organization, as requested.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Practical Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Current registration or eligibility to be registered with appropriate nursing regulatory body.
- Minimum five years nursing experience which includes clinical, administrative, and leadership experience in an LTC or retirement living environment.
- Master of Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing considered an asset.
- Completion of post-graduate clinical education and/or certifications considered an asset.
- A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
