Job Summary:

This Medical Radiation Technologist I position at Alberta Health Services operates in the specialized and technical environment of General Radiography. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will assess patients, analyze and interpret diagnostic data, and provide information to the Radiologist to assist in diagnosis, clinical intervention, and patient management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for disease and pathology diagnosis.
  • Interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination, and produce high-quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review.
  • Assist with the care and maintenance of equipment, including general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, as well as fluoroscopy and endoscopy.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program.
  • Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
