Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Imaging Assistant to join our team at Insight Medical Imaging. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinics and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chaperone exams and ensure patient rooms, change rooms, and high-touch areas are sanitized and ready for the next patient.
  • Porter patients and assist in creating a smooth patient and clinic flow.
  • Participate in hourly clinic cleans, including doors, handles, washrooms, and floors.
  • Restock supplies, including table paper, towels, gel, and cleaning materials.
  • Assist with patient flow, including updating IDDA with locations and escorting patients to reception.

Ultrasound Specific Responsibilities:

  • Clean EV Probes and test HLD chemicals.
  • Deliver printed baby pictures to obstetrical patients as needed.
  • Escort obstetrical patients to reception to ensure routine pregnancy exams are scheduled.
  • Restock supplies, including table paper, towels, gel, and cleaning materials.

X-Ray Specific Responsibilities:

  • Clean exam rooms between patients, including chairs, door handles, and tables.
  • Escort patients to reception to ensure future and follow-up exams are scheduled.
  • Restock supplies, including gowns and additional materials as advised.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to recognize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective time management and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to build professional relationships with patients and coworkers.
  • Proven track record in maintaining privacy and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
  • Reliable, dependable, and cooperative.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 graduate.
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience with a focus on customer care.
  • Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology are considered an asset.
  • Medical Office Administration diploma is considered an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliable vehicle with a valid driver's license is preferred.
