As a Medical Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating X-ray, radiographic, and fluoroscopic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. You will also perform scheduled maintenance and minor repairs on equipment, position patients, and apply radiation protection measures. Additionally, you will explain procedures and side effects of radiation to patients and perform basic verification and quality control checks on radiographic and film processing equipment. You will provide appropriate care and monitoring of the patient during the examination and ensure that all necessary certifications and licenses are up to date. Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • Certification of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists
  • Certification by a provincial or territorial association
  • Tuberculosis test
