Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Operator - Fixed Term to join our team at NWVL. As a key member of our production group, you will play a critical role in maintaining an OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) level at or above 85%.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to the production group to ensure smooth operation of equipment and processes.
  • Operational Excellence: Work closely with the production team to identify and implement process improvements, resulting in increased efficiency and productivity.
  • Safety and Quality: Ensure adherence to safe work practices and OH&S procedures, and contribute to maintaining a high level of quality in our products.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Be willing to work a shift pattern that includes nights, afternoons, and weekends, and adapt to changing production demands.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, including forklifts, blow/fillers, labelers, and other machinery.
  • Problem-Solving: Respond to and resolve operational issues, including elementary maintenance and adjustments.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with the production team, leadership, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operation of the production process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to organizational quality and environmental initiatives, and participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education: Form 6 pass or equivalent.
  • Trade Qualification: Trade qualification in a relevant field, such as manufacturing or engineering.
  • Work Experience: 3-5 years of equivalent work experience in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing Background: Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in bottling or related industries.
  • Technical Skills: Good command of written and spoken English, and valid group 9 driving license.
