Job Summary

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing components of new products, as well as making changes and modifications to existing products. You will work closely with sales, production, quality, purchasing, service, and shipping teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Design and develop new product components and modify existing products to meet customer and safety requirements
  • Perform engineering calculations to ensure compliance with customer and safety standards
  • Conduct FEA simulations to optimize product performance
  • Review and approve production drawings, instructions, manuals, and bills of materials
  • Coordinate the production implementation of new designs, cost reductions, and other changes to existing designs
  • Support production, purchasing, service, and quality teams with changes or reviews to existing products
  • Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with agricultural equipment is an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain and understand technical concepts
  • Capacity to manage multiple ongoing projects
  • High attention to detail
Working Conditions
  • 40 hours per week
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Occasional work periods operating heavy equipment
  • Occasional work periods in the shop
  • Occasional visits to farms and other test sites
