Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cage Cashier to join our team at Shorelines Casino Belleville. As a key member of our operations staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our cash handling processes.

About the Role

This is a part-time position that requires flexibility and a willingness to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will be working as part of a dynamic team that is passionate about delivering an exceptional gaming experience to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service to our guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded in a timely and professional manner.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including foreign currency exchange, traveler's cheques, short pays, over payments, cash counts, coins, and bills.
  • Monitor and report all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities to management.
  • Redeem value chips and gaming tickets for cash.
  • Verify and process machine fills, machine jackpots, cancelled credits, as well as table fills and credits.
  • Issue opening floats to Slot Attendants (or others); reconcile closing floats.
  • Transfer and store floats, keys, and record-keeping documents.
  • Document and reconcile transactions; may reconcile bank deposits and prepare revenue reports.
  • Communicate effectively with all operational departments.
  • Build strong working relationships with guests and employees.
Requirements
  • Secondary School Diploma; Post-secondary education an asset.
  • Smart Serve certification required or willing to obtain.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in high-volume cash handling.
  • Able to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication.
