Cage Cashier – Part Time

We are seeking a driven and energetic individual to join our team at Shorelines Casino Belleville as a Cage Cashier. This role is responsible for customer service, cash administration, and cash counts while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Exceeds guest expectations by providing outstanding customer service
  • Handles cash transactions, including foreign currency exchange, traveler's cheques, short pays, over payments, cash counts, coins, and bills
  • Monitors and reports all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities
  • Redeems value chips and gaming tickets for cash
  • Verifies and processes machine fills, machine jackpots, cancelled credits, as well as table fills and credits
  • Issues opening floats to Slot Attendants; reconciles closing floats
  • Transfers and stores floats, keys, and record-keeping documents
  • Documents and reconciles transactions; may reconcile bank deposits and prepare revenue reports
  • Communicates effectively with all operational departments
  • Builds strong working relationships with guests and employees
  • Complies with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations

Requirements:

  • People-focused and committed to service excellence
  • Proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to succeed
  • Secondary School Diploma; Post-secondary education an asset
  • Smart Serve certification required or willing to obtain
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in high-volume cash handling
