Intensive Care Nurse Leader

The Red Deer Regional Hospital Intensive Care Unit has undergone expansion from 12 to 20 beds. We are seeking dedicated professionals to fill these new positions.
Compensation PackageRegular Employees who hold a position within the unit, program, or office may express interest in this vacancy by the designated deadline. If no Regular Employee expresses interest, the vacancy shall be filled under the provisions of Article 14: Promotions, Transfers and Vacancies.
Key ResponsibilitiesThis role will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide patient and family-focused nursing care. You will provide a wide range of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being through critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Detailed Job Description- Work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Provide various nursing services to patients, including education, counseling, and advocacy.
- Maintain accurate records and follow established procedures.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in acute care medical/surgical or ICU settings.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in relevant technical nursing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to learn new skills.
A Baccalaureate degree is preferred but not required. Relevant skills and experience will be considered.
Estimated Salary$35.87-$43.82 per hour (provisional permit holders), adjusted upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses.
