About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at River Rock Grill. As a key member of our service staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware and storing beverages and food products.
  • Customer Service: Serve food and snacks, advise on wine selection, and provide recommendations on drink selections to enhance the customer experience.
  • Payment and Inventory Management: Collect cash, credit/debit cards, or other payment for beverages, operate the cash register, and maintain inventory and control of bar stock.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively with serving staff and patrons to take beverage orders and address customer complaints or concerns.
  • Physical Demands: Stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
  • Language and Communication: Fluency in English is required, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues is essential.
  • Work Environment and Conditions: 35 hours per week, permanent position, with a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
