We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at the Colossus of Rhodes - Colossus Greek Taverne. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of Baked Goods: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Baking and Decorating: Bake mixed dough and batters, prepare special orders, frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
- Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
- Food Safety and Sanitation: Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Maintenance of Equipment: Operate machinery and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
- Language: English.
- Work Schedule: 30 hours per week.
The Colossus of Rhodes - Colossus Greek Taverne is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. As a Baker, you will be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
