Job Title: Hotel Front Desk Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at WYNDHAM GARDEN. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Process group arrivals and departures, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of guest information.
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services, including room amenities, dining options, and local attractions.
  • Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments, ensuring seamless communication with the front desk team.
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures, including responding to guest emergencies and maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Clerical duties, such as faxing, filing, and photocopying, to support the front desk team.
  • Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs, providing personalized support and accommodations as needed.
  • Contact customers to deliver requested wake-up calls, ensuring timely and efficient communication.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
  • Flexibility, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Team player, with a positive and professional attitude.
