Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team at the Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our organization, ensuring that our HR practices and policies are aligned with our mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • HR Administration: Provide administrative support to the HR department, including maintaining employee records, processing payroll, and managing benefits.
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Coordinate the recruitment and hiring process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, and conducting interviews.
  • Employee Relations: Develop and implement employee relations strategies to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that our HR practices and policies are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in HR, preferably in a non-profit or Indigenous organization.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Certifications: CHRP or CHRL certification an asset.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
