Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated individual to provide English language training to adult newcomers according to the mandates of the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program and Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver customized lesson plans that cater to the needs of adult learners
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective communication and teamwork
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in ESL teaching
  • Utilize technology to enhance the learning experience and engage students
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes cultural sensitivity and diversity

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to English language acquisition
  • Minimum 6 months full-time experience as an English language instructor
  • Standard 1 recognition from TESL Canada or Canadian equivalent
  • Working knowledge of software, internet programs, and Canadian industry trends pertaining to ESL teaching
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse groups and adapt to changing technologies
