Job Summary

As an Instructor - Literacy and Adult Education at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, you will be responsible for providing instruction in multiple areas, including English Language Arts, Health Science, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and more. You will manage the classroom to ensure an optimum learning environment, plan and deliver learning activities that reflect the values and needs of a culturally diverse community, and provide appropriate evaluation and feedback to students.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in multiple areas, including English Language Arts, Health Science, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and more.
• Manage the classroom to ensure an optimum learning environment.
• Plan and deliver learning activities that reflect the values and needs of a culturally diverse community.
• Provide appropriate evaluation and feedback to students.
• Maintain records of achievement, attendance, and other student-related information and report such information as required.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
• Valid Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate.
• Subject specialization in applicable subject.
• Eligible for Saskatchewan accreditation in applicable subject.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with individuals with special learning needs.
• Demonstrates valuing diversity.
