We are seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to join our team at The Métis Nation of Ontario. This is a hybrid role that requires both in-person and remote work.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating various events and meetings. You will work closely with our team to ensure the successful execution of these events.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual requirements
  • Develop and manage event budgets, timelines, and itineraries
  • Coordinate with vendors, speakers, and attendees to ensure a smooth event experience
  • Manage event registrations, RSVPs, and communications
  • Monitor and control event expenses to stay within budget
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree from a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program (1-2 years)
  • Experience in meeting and event planning (1 year - less than 2 years)
  • Familiarity with hybrid work environments and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
