Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that all employees are aware of their responsibilities and the importance of maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that all necessary items are ordered and stocked in a timely manner.
  • Hire and Manage Staff: Hire and manage food service staff, ensuring that all employees are qualified and capable of performing their duties.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare Budget and Reports: Prepare budget and cost estimates, as well as reports on sales, stock, and wastage, to ensure that the food service department is operating efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant.
  • Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods.
