Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Baker Apprentice to join our team at Scotiabank Arena. As a valuable member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the Baker in the preparation and baking of high-quality breads and pastries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Baker in the preparation and baking of breads and pastries, ensuring proper techniques and standards are followed.
  • Perform daily counts and create production lists to ensure accurate inventory levels and efficient production.
  • Work with the Baker to develop and implement new recipes and products, and to improve existing ones.
  • Provide hands-on support and training to the Baker and other team members as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to ensure guest satisfaction and optimal service.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of baking experience in a high-volume restaurant or bakery environment.
  • Familiarity with product ordering and inventory management.
  • Valid Food Handlers Certificate is recommended.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
