As an Emerging Leader, you will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of our products and materials, as well as the processes and flows of our yards and operations. Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Developing an understanding of our products and materials
  • Learning the process and flows of our yards and operations
  • Learning the ins and outs of overseeing a feeder yard site
  • Developing an understanding of our health and safety culture
  • Learning about our contracts and how they are processed
  • Analyzing inventory and learning about our month-end inventory process
  • Learning how we process and pay our customers
  • Establishing supplier strategies and vendor management
  • Collaborating with different departments to identify purchasing needs and strategies
  • Participating in inventory management with our storekeepers
  • Participating in onboarding and integration of new employees
  • Collaborating with the Talent Acquisition team to learn and identify top talent
  • Partnering with HR Ontario team to understand critical aspects of the HR function
  • Visiting customer sites, interacting, and building critical customer relationships
  • Collaborating with the sales team to understand the process and importance of account managing

To be considered for this role, you must have strong written and oral communication skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel. Bilingualism is considered an asset. You should also have excellent customer service and organizational skills and the ability to work well within team and individual settings.
