Laboratory Technician

Job Summary
Dynacare is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in obtaining quality blood samples and conducting patient tests, all while upholding our company's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain venous and capillary blood specimens from patients.
- Perform routine laboratory procedures, including urine collections and specimen preparations.
- Follow established guidelines for handling infectious materials.
- Maintain accurate records for all test and control results.
- Prepare quality control statistical reports on a monthly basis.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and calibrations.
- Adhere to all safety precautions when performing duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a Laboratory Technician program or equivalent previous experience.
- Medical terminology knowledge is an asset.
- Technical skills: experience with phlebotomy.
- Social processing skills: ability to multitask and work in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
