Clinical Laboratory Assistant

Job Summary

As a key member of the Dynacare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care by obtaining accurate laboratory results. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and process blood and other specimens from patients, ensuring accurate and timely results.
• Perform routine laboratory procedures, including urine collections and specimen preparations, in accordance with established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of test and control results, and prepare statistical reports as required.
• Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and regulations, including the handling of infectious materials.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care and support.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

• Graduate of a Laboratory Technician program or equivalent experience.
• Medical terminology knowledge an asset.
• Experience with phlebotomy and laboratory procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
