Job Summary

As a key member of the Dynacare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care by obtaining accurate laboratory results. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and process blood and other specimens from patients, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Perform routine laboratory procedures, including urine collections and specimen preparations, in accordance with established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of test and control results, and prepare statistical reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and regulations, including the handling of infectious materials.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and calibrations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care and service.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Laboratory Technician program or equivalent experience.
  • Medical terminology knowledge an asset.
  • Technical skills: experience with phlebotomy and laboratory equipment.
  • Social processing skills: ability to multitask, work in a team environment, and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
