About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Damascus, Café and bakery. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and food safety.
  • Operate dishwashers, wash dishes, glassware, and flatware by hand, and store them in a clean and organized manner.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring that all products are properly labeled and stored.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and tidy kitchen environment.
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and maintain a positive and respectful work environment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects, and work in a physically demanding environment.
