Job Title: Farm Operations Manager

Turning Leaf Greenhouses is seeking a highly skilled Farm Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our greenhouse facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of our crop production, including planning, coordinating, and supervising the activities of our nursery and greenhouse workers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate crop production activities, including planting, cultivating, and harvesting.
  • Supervise and train nursery and greenhouse workers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor and control the use of fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemicals to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of crop production, including yields, quality, and any issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of activities.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in crop production or a related field.
  • College/CEGEP diploma in a relevant field, such as agriculture or horticulture.
  • Pesticide Applicator's Licence.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
