Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sushi Chef and Restaurant Manager to join our team at Sushi Sai.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position responsible for managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and maintaining high-quality food standards. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement menus, ensuring dishes meet quality and presentation standards.
  • Supervise food preparation, plating, and presentation to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage restaurant finances.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and services.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience as a sushi chef or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team, motivate staff, and resolve conflicts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • A valid food safety certification and knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and adapting to changing situations.
