Sushi Chef Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Sushi Chef to join our team at Sushi Sai.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for Japanese cuisine and excellent cooking skills. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to Sushi Sai's quality standards.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Manage kitchen operations to meet Sushi Sai's productivity and quality goals.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
- Physically demanding work environment.
